The restaurant closes by 6:30, and there aren’t other places nearby, so you’re left with microwave noodles or a 20-minute drive into the city. We almost missed getting to the airport because nobody was available to open the gate, despite our arrangement with the staff. The rooms were nasty, with trash all over the floor. We had to argue to get the second room we’d booked, and were given a different one anyway. Communication in English was barely possible, with some kind of translation app. Don’t come here.

The kids had a blast in the interactive play areas, especially climbing on the giant mushrooms, and we found whimsical sculptures all over that made fun photo stops. We had lunch at one of the many picnic spots, surrounded by flowers and the rustling leaves. The staff were friendly and shared facts about local plants and animals. With all the greenery and birds singing, the park felt like a lively storybook, almost like nature was throwing a family party. We had a lovely time exploring Mooi Park, and left with full hearts and cameras full of memories. It’s a fun place for a family day out, or just to relax and enjoy nature. We can’t wait to return!

The setting and atmosphere are really nice, and the price is still okay. The service needs to improve, especially from the guards on duty.
