The receptionist was really nice, and there's plenty to do inside the hotel. It's a nice place near pasar atom.

It was very cheap, which is about the only good thing I can say. During my five-night stay the room was dirty, and dust on the bed cover made my skin itchy on the first night. I asked to move and felt better in the next room, but it still wasn't properly clean and there was no hot water.

The room was filthy and the water never got hot. I couldn't watch anything on the TV either. Check-in took over three hours, so I felt like I'd wasted both my time and money. Worst hotel I've stayed at in Surabaya, definitely wouldn't recommend it.

They only left half of a 50 ml bottle of liquid soap. You'll need to bring your own shampoo and toothbrush and toothpaste. The hot water was out, and the Wi-Fi was poor.

I liked the old building and its history. New Grand Park Hotel has been around since 1973 and was one of Surabaya's first three-star hotels. The furniture and room corners looked neat and cared for, even though the building itself is old. It's at Jalan Samodra, about 3.4 km from Juanda Airport Surabaya, and you can easily walk to Atom Market for shopping and food. The hotel has 118 rooms and is still serving guests. If you want to stay somewhere with an old building that still stands firm, this could suit you.
