The Life Hotels

The bathroom was very clean and had a full set of toiletries, though there was a grimy gap around the sink that might also be hard for staff to clean. I had no complaints about the bed. Outside noise came through the window, which was fairly loud, and the window couldn't be opened, perhaps because I'd booked a non-smoking room. When I first came in, water was splashing from the air conditioner. Staff promptly cleaned the wet area, but that didn't fix it, and the unit kept dripping a little. Even with these issues, I can fairly recommend the hotel for the price.

The narrow entrance area means taxis have to stop on the street to pick you up or drop you off. For a short stay, though, it was a good choice. Room service is available, but the food could taste better :)

The modern design has a lot going for it, which makes the odors especially disappointing. The smoking room smelled strongly of cigarettes, while the non-smoking room smelled of urine. Cleanliness and staff professionalism both need work. One receptionist didn't seem to know the hotel or how to give a room tour 😅 They should train staff properly before putting them at the desk, or mark trainees with a name tag or different uniform so guests know what to expect.

The room was neat and clean, and housekeeping staff were polite and helpful. I especially liked the “Happy View Room,” with its three wide windows, and the hotel soap smelled nice. The food was pretty good too. I expected a hot water dispenser on every floor, but as far as I know there isn't one. There was no wardrobe either. Still, this is a good budget hotel, and the location is convenient.
