The pool was decent, though more than a dozen children arrived for a private lesson while I was swimming. Lessons are fine, but guests should be told when they’re happening so they can avoid that time. Smoke was noticeable even in the non-smoking rooms, though less than in the smoking room I was first assigned. Cigarette smell came under the door and through the ventilation, especially in the bathroom. Most staff were friendly, particularly the parking security, and they did move me after I asked. The breakfast was excellent for the price, but it was freezing cold most mornings, perhaps because the air conditioning was blasting while smoking was allowed in the breakfast room. Cleaning also wasn’t thorough. My first room only had boiling water in the shower, with no cold water, which made showering uncomfortable. It’s a mixed experience, but for me it adds up to 2/5. I imagine smokers might enjoy staying here more.

On December 27, 2025, neither of our two Deluxe rooms had bath towels or floor mats. At 2:00 PM during check-in, the receptionist said laundry delays meant towels would be ready by 5:00 PM. After four calls, the bath towels finally arrived at 10:15 PM. The receptionist made promises that weren’t kept and wasn’t clear about whether towels were available. A horrible experience.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I was given a free upgrade from Superior to Deluxe. It was a comfortable place to stay, and I’d come back next time I’m in Solo 😊

The bathroom needs some repairs. Hot water wasn’t coming from the sink, or it may have been leaking, and the bathtub could use a better clean. My room itself was very clean and nice, with good air conditioning. Customer service was kind and helpful when I had a problem, and breakfast was pretty good. One or two more menu options would’ve been nice. I had a nice stay.
