Alvia Joglo House with Private Pool

We found the place just as it looked in the photos, and the staff were kind and helpful. Made helped us arrange a motorbike rental for a few days, and breakfast was really tasty. The reception is staffed from 7-19, with security covering 19-7, which felt reassuring even out among the rice fields. You can’t get a car down the narrow access path, but walking or riding a motorbike is easy. There’s a small menu for lunch and dinner, plus cocktails, and a good, inexpensive warung near the main road. The house was cleaned thoroughly every day, though we still noticed lots of ants. Maybe that was because of the April weather or season, but it’s useful to know if you’re allergic to ant bites or uncomfortable around bugs.

Dewa came through when my other villa turned out to be double booked. It was midnight and I had nowhere to go, so he offered me a room here for the same price. I stayed longer, then returned a week later when another room opened up. The team were attentive and helpful, and the place was spotless with a great setup. The location is beautiful too. I’d definitely stay again when I’m back in Bali.

The private pool villa had everything I needed for a peaceful, comfortable stay, and it was a great base for exploring a more authentic side of Bali. It was very clean, and breakfast was fresh with plenty to choose from. Dewa can also be booked as a tour guide, and he’s really good, with a comfortable, clean car. Viani was kind and helpful, and cooks well. Dewa, Viani and the security team were lovely throughout. I have no complaints and will definitely come back.

Made took good care of us throughout our holiday at Alia Joglo House, and we hope to return. The villa was beautiful, with a private pool and a lovely view over the rice terraces.
