Bali Sawah Indah

We wanted somewhere quiet and not too crowded, and this smaller property in the middle of the rice fields was exactly right. Every room has a view. The staff were friendly, and the owners were caring and engaging. Ubud sightseeing, waterfalls, coffee plantations, temples, and even Mt Batur were close enough to visit. The care in the details really stood out. It was the first place I’d stayed that put a canang sari, incense, and a lighter in the room, a thoughtful sign of respect for Hindu culture. Rooms were clean, the air con worked well, and the showers were hot. They had soaps, body wash, and shampoo that smelled like Frangipani. Each room has a private deck facing the fields, with incredible sunrise views and birdsong. The property is beautiful, with locally handcrafted art, a great menu, and a nice pool. There are kind hearts here. It was a lovely place to recharge, and I hope to return soon. Thanks to everyone at Bali Sawah Indah for making those few days memorable.
