Anara Airport International Hotel

Breakfast starts at 2:30am, which is handy for an early flight out of Jakarta. Terminal 3 feels almost like part of the hotel, just a few steps away over the overhead pass.

The staff were all friendly, the breakfast buffet was excellent, especially the bubur ayam, and the indoor, air-conditioned walk to the Terminal 3 gate couldn't be better. But several room details let the stay down. The Android TV was incredibly complicated and user-unfriendly. Even the technician struggled with it. Its controls are behind the surround, which hinges to the left, and we had to open that panel to disconnect the picture when we wanted to sleep. When we switched off the room power with the key card, the emergency flashlight didn't work either. That makes me wonder what other safety features might be non-functional, and management should take note. The fridge was empty, not even water inside. The shower cubicle door opened inward, which seemed like a safety issue, but water still covered the bathroom floor.

For a quick transit before and after an international flight, it was fine, and the standard breakfast was nice. I stayed in December 2023. The room looked out only onto the parking lot and highway, but my office had chosen it, so that was fine. The signs directing you to the hotel from arrivals were a bit unclear then, though I don't know if they've improved since.

A little patchy Wi-Fi was the only drawback. Check-in and checkout were seamless, the bed was comfortable, and the hot shower worked well. A very good business hotel for a CGK airport transit, and one I'd recommend to business travelers.
