Pondok Agung Bed & Breakfast

A convenience store right beside the hotel came in handy. We also had a nice balcony, and the shower had strong, hot water. The garden was lovely, while our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. I really appreciated that the bathroom and bedding were clean, especially after some bad experiences with misleading Agoda reviews on Java island. The staff were super friendly and helpful, which made a big difference during our 3-night stay. One tip: buy mosquito spray at the nearby mart. The room was fine, but there were mosquitoes everywhere as soon as you went outside.

The staff were helpful, and the room was quiet and clean, with a TV and desk. They even have a library! The mosquitoes are a bit of a problem. Regular pest control and getting rid of standing water would help. I'd skip breakfast because of the mosquitoes: I got bitten about 5 times while eating. The food was tasty, though.

It's a quiet little getaway from the bustle elsewhere, and with only a few rooms, the B&B has a nice community feel. We stayed 3 nights, and the service was excellent. They cleaned our room every morning while we were at breakfast, really quickly. The room was clean and cooled down fast, though the one we had didn't have a fridge. Restaurants are within walking distance, both at the larger hotels and resorts and on their own. There are also three convenience stores just around the corner.

We got the lotus room on the second floor during our 5-night stay, and it had a nice little view. The garden was very well cared for, and the pool was always clean. The staff were around, friendly, and helpful. Overall, it was a good place to stay.
