Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro

The team made the biggest difference for me. Everyone was professional, warm, and clearly passionate about their work. Huge thanks to Andre, Reza, and Made for making me feel so welcome and relaxed, and for going above and beyond. Check-in was easy, and I spent much of my time enjoying the drinks and atmosphere at the poolside bar. My stay was perfect from beginning to end. Keep it up, guys.

Being able to use the hotel’s free bicycles around the area was a real help when I didn’t feel like dealing with traffic. I was also pleasantly surprised by the airport pick-up in an Alphard, which made the trip feel especially comfortable. Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro is within walking distance of Malioboro, so it was easy to explore. The service was good, the room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast had a nice range of options, and the swimming pool added to a very pleasant stay.

I stayed for two nights in April 2026 before a business trip in Yogyakarta. The staff contacted me ahead of time to confirm when I’d arrive, prepared the room as requested, and made check-in quick and smooth. The location was convenient, with the city center walkable from the hotel. The room met Novotel standards: clean, comfortable, and well maintained. A pleasant stay, and I appreciated the hospitality.

The kids picked Novotel Malioboro as their favorite of the four hotels we stayed at over the Eid holiday. It’s close to Jalan Malioboro, so we could explore on foot or take a becak or andong. We’d happily return. We arrived in the late afternoon, when police had closed the main access road in the busy Malioboro area. The hotel team quickly guided us by WhatsApp along an alternate route, and the security staff were waiting to direct us to parking professionally. All the staff, including security, were attentive and very friendly. We were delighted to get a room upgrade, complimentary fruit and chocolates, and a personalized welcome message. Even the mineral water bottles had my name printed on them. It really felt like they cared. Thank you to Novotel Malioboro, especially Mrs. Novi Soesanto, the General Manager.
