Bobocabin Ubud

We travelled four hours to get here, and by 10.30pm we were being told we had to move because the room we were given did not allow dogs. We had chosen this property through Booking.com after filtering for pet-friendly places. Only one deluxe room option appeared, so we did not realize there was a separate pet-friendly room type. We were later told those rooms were fully booked, even though Booking.com still recommended the property. At 9pm, no one showed us to our room in the dark, and we had to find it ourselves. There was also no help with our bags in the rain. Check-in was extremely slow and such a hassle. We appreciate the focus on sustainability, but basic comfort seemed overlooked. It was raining heavily and there was no rug in the room. After we asked, it took close to an hour to arrive. By then it was 10.27pm and we were about to sleep, but staff insisted on discussing non-urgent admin matters. The steps are very slippery and felt unsafe, so be careful. The soap dispensers were broken, and we had to open them from the top to get soap, wondering how many people had put their fingers inside. We asked for a fruit knife and were sent a rusty one. When it arrived, we were again told we weren't supposed to have a dog here. At 930,000 RP per night, this experience and service were not worth it. Disappointing, to say the least.
