The staff were great, and I’m still grateful for the experience, but I didn’t feel this was good value for money. The place seemed overused, and the quality of the bamboo houses felt like it had declined as demand went up. The bed’s mosquito net was damp and stained. The hot shower only lasted a few minutes, so there wasn’t enough hot water to properly use the bath. The lounging net had lots of hair on it and no mat or pillows. Honestly, my 15 NZD accommodation was much better for comfort, hot showers, bed quality and presentation.

The bamboo villa was beautiful, private and peaceful, and the staff were helpful. Value for money felt average. It may be a bit too remote for convenience, and some seats in the plunge pool would help. I know it’s an eco hotel, but air conditioning would have been nice! 😅

You have to be ready to let go and just be here. Puca Gavi feels like a place for someone truly transforming themselves. Bathing outdoors and lying on a net with a view over the rice fields were absolutely amazing and beautiful.
