Jaka deserves a special thank you: he was kind, always ready to help with a warm smile, and made us feel welcome and looked after throughout our stay. Our time at Sanna Ubud Butler Villa was amazing and unforgettable. If you’re after a luxurious, relaxing stay in Ubud, Sanna Ubud is a lovely choice. We can’t wait to return!

We spent the second half of our honeymoon at Sanna Ubud, and the stay surpassed what we expected. Check-in came with complimentary refreshments, and our villa had a bathtub filled with flowers waiting for us. From the start, the staff showed why the resort rates so highly on Google and Expedia. The small touches felt considered. Breakfast specials change each day, though my wife and I ordered the same dishes all five mornings because we liked them so much. The waffle, Japanese pancake, tortilla omelet, and smoothie bowl were all worth recommending, and none disappointed. In the evenings, there was dinner alongside a traditional show or dance, a relaxed way to experience Balinese culture with plenty of food choices. The spa packages were also exceptional, from the peaceful setting to the quality of the massages. I’d highly recommend Sanna Ubud to honeymooners or anyone wanting a quiet, intimate place to unwind.

A really stunning hotel, with spectacular views and rooms that mix open air space with enclosed air conditioning. All the little touches made us feel well looked after, and the staff were incredibly kind and polite. Our group of four got massages at the spa, and every one of us thought it was probably the best we’d ever had. My husband and I own physical rehab clinics, so we’ve had plenty of experience with massages. For a peaceful retreat, this place is hard to beat.

The yoga and spa treatments were excellent, and the welcome ritual and performances were lovely. Staff serving room service were friendly every time. The property itself is beautiful, but the retreat felt poorly organised. We had no clear schedule, appointments got mixed up, and some package inclusions didn’t match what had been advertised. Construction noise, loud walkie-talkies, and sounds from neighbouring villas also broke the peaceful atmosphere. Dietary restrictions weren’t respected, and we had quality concerns during our private dinner. The place has real potential, though coordination, communication, and quality control need work to match luxury retreat expectations.
