Amaya Sebatu Villa

The location is very secluded, and you have to travel a long way to get anywhere. There's no restaurant on site, so for lunch or dinner they have to order food from outside for you. Breakfast was just okay. The villa also looked nothing like the pictures and was very dirty. There didn't seem to be enough staff to maintain it: algae was everywhere, the pool was so unclean that I wouldn't get in, and the bathtub wasn't clean either. The shampoo and bath gel smelled revolting, like someone had thrown up in them. After that, they gave us shampoo in a water bottle. I'm adding pictures here too.

Thanks so much to Jodi and Gede, Frede and Amaya team for the lovely property, room, and hospitality. It feels made for couples or anyone wanting real ME time, with thoughtful facilities and care for privacy and being together. The tranquility and serenity are lovely. We'd recommend it to friends and family.

The massage in our room was lovely, and we both slept better than we ever had. We also loved the villa itself, with its king-sized bed, private pool, and beautiful bathroom with a tub and shower. The online photos don't capture how beautiful it really is. We couldn't fault anything. From booking onward, the emails were smooth, and the staff were friendly, kind, and relaxed while making us feel welcome. Breakfast was delicious every day, with just-right portions and especially refreshing papaya juice. We're already hoping to return next year, and Amaya Sebatu Villa will be our first choice. The team made the whole stay unforgettable. Highly recommend!

The breakfast was excellent, and the villa was spotless. The staff were exceptionally kind and professional, with service worthy of a five-star hotel. It's near a small, typically Balinese village with very few tourists, making it a great base for visiting Ubud and nearby sights while experiencing what feels like the real Bali.
