The grounds and gardens were gorgeous, with a spectacular rice field view from the breakfast area. The pool was spacious, with lots of sunbeds and umbrellas. Parking was roomy for cars and scooters. There isn't much around, though we couldn't explore because of the weather. Getting there was a hassle, with several road closures along the way. That was probably bad luck from the rain and timing, and not the hotel's fault, but check Google Maps and Waze for closures before you go. Our room was immaculate and well kept, with a comfortable bed, hot shower and little terrace. No AC, though it got quite hot. The electric fan helped, but the online listing says there's AC. There's a nearby mosque, but I didn't hear it from inside, and I'm sensitive to noise. We arrived at 6 pm in heavy rain. Just one staff member was there, handling reception and everything else, and he was super nice and hospitable. He even found us a drink. They don't offer massages, but he kindly asked around and could have arranged one. Cooking classes, tour guides and other activities are available. There's no bar or restaurant, so you can't just relax there and order something. We were given a few beers, but I don't know where they came from. Breakfast had some nice options, though ask which items are spicy. My scrambled egg toast had spicy sauce in it, which wasn't ideal for someone who can't handle spice or for children. We stayed only one night because the weather got worse and we headed back to the port for Bali. For the price, I'd recommend it: it's a cheap hotel with pros and cons, so I don't think you can be too picky. I'd stay one more night to relax, but probably not longer, since there isn't much to do nearby.
