Avilla Ubud

We planned to split our time between a budget stay and a more luxurious villa, but A Villa Ubud was such good value that we stayed there the whole time. We even extended our time in Ubud partly because we loved it there. We were upgraded to the private pool suite and were really impressed. The setting feels remote, with a pretty garden path and a river running along one side, though town is still close. The Yoga Barn was a manageable 15-minute walk, and we used a scooter most of the time. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making the stay special with touches like flowers on the bed and a floating breakfast. There were a few dogs around, and one had puppies, which was lovely to see. The mother could get defensive in the middle of the night and fight with the other dogs, though it never lasted long. That's common in Bali. We'd stay here again and highly recommend it. Suksma!

The villa manager set up a cooking session for me, where I learned to make local peanut sauce. Staff were very welcoming and nice. A great spot to chill and relax.

Our room backed onto the jungle and river, which made it feel lush, peaceful, and serene. We especially recommend choosing a room with a private pool. The place was clean and close to one of Ubud's main streets, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We loved it so much that our original two-night booking turned into eight nights. We stayed in February 2020, and would definitely come back.

We came as a group of 15 and planned on three days, but liked it so much that we extended to two weeks. The pool uses spring water, and the views are unbelievable. Service was superb, and the price was good for a comfortable place to relax, close to shops and everything else. You can also call the hotel to arrange an airport pickup. We're really pleased, and I'll post a video for everyone to see. They deserve 10 stars.
