The views were breathtaking, breakfast was tasty, and our room was kept immaculately clean. The bed was comfy too. We stayed a week with our toddler, and he had plenty of safe space to move around. The staff treated him like a little king. It was a beautiful place for us parents to unwind and come back down to earth. We hated leaving. It'd make a great romantic retreat as well as a place that works really well with a toddler.
The view of the Campuhan ridge walk was beautiful to wake up to, and the room had all the essentials, even an iron. We were only able to try breakfast once because we had very early starts on the other days, but we wished we'd had more. It was one of the best breakfasts of our trip. We stayed three nights at Villa Shimha in May. The location worked perfectly for us, away from the busy centre but close enough to walk in. Elephant Restaurant is right next door, and there's a shared pool on site, which was great when the heat got too much. Room 4 Dessert and Mozaic are also within walking distance, so it's a handy spot if you like fine dining. 6/5. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent. You'll need it, though that's true all around Ubud.
The little touches and interiors made the place feel really special, and the jungle views were beautiful. We booked through Airbnb, and the host was very helpful. We stayed three nights and wished we'd booked more. It's a wonderful, private setting.
Waking up to sunrise every morning was magical. The terrace and property are beautiful, and there are good restaurants nearby. It feels like a real paradise while still being walkable to Ubud centre.
The view was nice.
