Breakfast on the balcony was superb, and we felt like royalty in the villa. The staff were so warm and friendly, always smiling when we passed them, and they made us feel that guests really mattered. Since the property is a little out of the way, it’s nice and restful. There’s a shuttle to the main road every hour, and most times it felt like our own car because nobody else was riding. They also gave us a mobile phone just for calling the driver for pickup or reaching the front desk.

We stayed four nights and I really wish we could have stayed longer. It was such a relaxing, beautiful place, and I loved it. Ubud centre is about 10 minutes away, with a free shuttle every few hours. My boyfriend and I also hired a scooter from the resort. I’d definitely recommend it.

Pajar House was lovely, clean, and quiet, and the rooms were spotless. My best friend and I spent four nights there and found it so relaxing. The outdoor shower was my favourite. Everyone was so nice and eager to help, whether arranging trips or giving us a lift into town. They even provide a mobile so you can contact them if you need help or a ride. Thanks for having us, guys. I can’t wait to visit again.

The views and surroundings are awesome, and the room and bathroom are nice, though cleanliness needs work and the hotel generally needs updating. Ubud centre is 8km away, so you need a bike, but the bikes they rent are in really bad condition. Breakfast was OK. The staff were nice, apart from the reception people, who could have been more helpful. The food was terrible, really bad and expensive. We ordered some and couldn’t eat it.

The staff were always smiling and ready to help, and Dewi and Komang were especially kind. I had a traditional massage in my room with Futu, if I’ve remembered her name right. Our villa looked out over beautiful rice paddies and felt so peaceful. We loved the open air bathroom and went swimming in the infinity pools in the morning and evening, both times with a scenic view. The scooter ride up to reception was fun. There’s a convenient town shuttle every three hours from 10am to 10pm, and we used the airport transfer too. We were so glad we booked Pajar House. It was a stylish Balinese experience, and I’d highly recommend it.
