Bliss Ubud Abangan

Breakfast was part of the price, with five or six choices, and the staff were organized and professional. I really liked the hotel. It was clean and well cared for on a quiet street, but still close to everything in Ubud. The pool was on the small side, though the water temperature felt just right and was refreshing. We also had access to a terrace.

The jungle feel around the pool made it feel like a little paradise, and the food was delicious. Staff were friendly and polite, with great service. It was a bit tricky to find at first, but inside the hotel is charming and idyllic, and the rooms are very clean. I’d definitely recommend it for a visit to Ubud.

Finding the place by car was incredibly difficult, especially since the Google maps pin is in the wrong spot. There’s also a pack of guard dogs by the nearby laundry that patrol the alley to the hotel. They attacked my friend when he went to ask for help finding the place. Once there, it felt like a little quiet hideaway amid increasingly over-touristy Ubud. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom and shower were lovely. Breakfast was brought to our room, which was nice. One other problem was how loudly the sliding doors shut. Guests coming back at night woke me up.

Our only regret was not staying longer. The hotel is gorgeous and right in the center of Ubud, with spacious, clean rooms and bathrooms. Breakfast was delicious and served on our terrace. The staff went out of their way to help and make us feel welcome. We’d definitely visit again.
