The Pork Rice was a pleasant surprise, better than I expected. We came for food, but the first time nobody was around, so we went elsewhere. The drinks were disappointing: my beer arrived warm, and the fruit juice was very watery.

Though it's a little way from central Ubud, the place is quiet and full of thoughtful touches. I liked being able to choose breakfast, and it was delicious. Check-out at noon was handy too. The best part of the morning was getting up early to explore the grounds and nearby area, then having breakfast at the second-floor deck restaurant with its great view. If you ask, they'll take you by motorbike to wherever you want to go for a low price. There's often a taxi right across the street as well. And if you're lucky, you might get to play with the owner's friendly cat ♡

It's a cozy cottage in Ubud, Bali, and all the staff are friendly. They can take you to the Ubud shops you want to visit and pick you up afterward. Knowing the owner's wife is Japanese was reassuring.

I got red spots all over my body, and I think there may have been fleas in the futon. It was damp and smelled bad too. I was bitten badly by fleas and mosquitoes at this inn, unlike anywhere else.
