It takes about five minutes by scooter to reach Ubud Central, and there are only a few small restaurants nearby. Villa 1 has around 35 large steps down, which was a bit hard on my knees because of my osteoarthritis. The hosts helped with our luggage, and once you're down there, you don't need to leave if you want to relax with a book. The hosts are attentive and respond on WhatsApp. The peaceful setting and view from the back deck are lovely, looking over your own shaded pool. The villa has traditional Balinese wooden furniture, a beautiful outdoor bathroom and bath, a full-size fridge, two gas burners, basic cooking supplies, and a water filter with hot and cold water. International power points and 100mbps wifi / internet are a bonus. It's a lovely quiet break from Ubud's bustle.

We were very happy with our six days here. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and had drivers on site who could take us around the area. The villas are beautiful, with amazing views. There is construction on the upper level, which might be a surprise as you first enter, but it didn't take away from the stay for us.

Our villa was a quiet, private place to unwind, and being near Ubud centre made it easy to get around. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, always around when we needed help. The host was welcoming and really helpful, including carrying our luggage to the villa and arranging a taxi to Seminyak at the end of our stay. The villa was spacious and clean, with a pool and tub facing the forest. We also booked a floating breakfast, which was fantastic. It's about a five-minute scooter ride to Ubud center. I'd recommend it if you want to try a villa stay in Bali.

The jungle sounds are part of the pleasure here, and you can enjoy them from the sunbed. The infinity pool is a lovely place to relax in nature. The bedroom is beautiful, with sliding doors opening to the view, good air con, a TV if you want one, and great Wi-Fi. The villa sits in a valley overlooking the jungle, giving it a secluded, romantic feel, though Ubud is only a 10-15 minute walk away. There are also lovely warungs close by. Putu's Wild Ginger Warung and Lemongrass Warung are about five minutes away on foot, and Doa laundry is three minutes away. The woman there does a great job for a few $aud. They clean every day while you're out and leave fresh towels. You can also get a massage or spa treatment at the villa, with complimentary tea afterward. I recommend the Balinese massage. Bring mosquito repellent, and don't leave food out because of the wildlife nearby. The bathroom and kitchen are partly outdoors, so keep the bedroom doors shut and you should be fine.
