I’ve stayed at Calma Ubud four times, and every visit has felt like coming back to a peaceful little paradise. Its mix of beauty, calm, and genuine hospitality keeps drawing me back. The property is lush and well maintained, with lovely architecture and design, and thoughtful details throughout. The staff are a big part of what makes it special. They’re warm, professional, and sincerely caring, and they make guests feel valued. Their kindness is one of the main reasons I look forward to returning. This year I also got to discover Casa Veranda, directly opposite Calma Ubud. It has four private villas, each with its own swimming pool, in an elegant Moroccan-inspired style. The villas are beautiful, with carefully chosen interiors that combine comfort, privacy, and sophisticated décor in a relaxing setting. Whether you stay at Calma Ubud or Casa Veranda, you can expect a lovely experience with comfort, beauty, and outstanding service. After four visits, I’m already looking forward to coming back again.

A lovely, relaxing stay and a real gem for the price. The place is small, stylish, and homely, with very nice reception staff. Breakfast is included each day, with a wide choice of fresh, delicious food. They were also very helpful arranging a scooter at competitive rates, a driver, and local attractions. We had a Deluxe Suit on the first floor, with a cute patio. It looks a little more polished in the photos, but was still wonderful, very clean, and comfortable, with great mattresses and pillows. The kitchenette has very little in it, though the staff were happy to bring whatever we needed. As of February 26, a new building was going up to the right of the pool, reducing the rice paddy view a bit. We could hear some construction noise at the pool and bar, but not in the rooms.

We loved the breakfast, especially the wide daily selection and the personalized menu where each guest could choose their preferred items, all included in the room package. It was an easy, stress-free way to start the day. The regular complimentary shuttle between the property and Ubud center made getting around simple, without worrying about transport or parking. The hotel is also just a short distance from the heart of Ubud. From arrival, the front desk team were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They remembered our preferences, handled requests thoughtfully, and made us feel valued throughout our stay. The hotel combines comfort, convenience, and heartfelt hospitality. We highly recommend it and plan to return.

The breakfast was delicious, varied, and a lovely start to each day. The facilities were beautiful, comfortable, and very well kept, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff treated us wonderfully throughout our stay, always kind, attentive, and professional. We had an amazing time at this Ubud hotel, would absolutely recommend it, and would love to return.

We travel a lot, but this place felt truly special, with such a peaceful atmosphere. The villa is gorgeous, even better than the photos, and the breakfast is tasty. We’ll definitely be back!
