Setiawan deserves a heartfelt thank you for looking after us with such personal care throughout our visit. Every team member was wonderful, and the food was always fresh and delicious. We spent three days at Como Shambala, where our villa felt like a sanctuary, with stunning wide views over the lush forest. Waking up to that was a dream. We left feeling restored and grateful for this peaceful escape. We can’t recommend it enough.

The peaceful atmosphere, treatments, food and service were all outstanding during my three nights on a wellness program. The massages were especially impressive, and the therapists were so professional. Ayu looked after every detail from beginning to end, while the doctor and wellness team put together a perfect program. It’s one of the best hotel stays I’ve had, a real sanctuary for mind and body. I’ll definitely return, and highly recommend COMO Shambhala Estate.

I came wanting privacy, rest, movement and wellness, and this serene, refined hotel delivered on much of that holistic promise. Though the property was first built in the 1990s, it feels contemporary, with thoughtfully designed modern rooms, beautiful views and a deep sense of calm in nature. I booked a standard room and was surprised by the layout: four rooms share a large private pool, an outdoor lounge area and panoramic views. I barely saw other guests during my stay, which gave the place a rare feeling of space and privacy. The service was quiet but attentive, as you’d expect at a luxury wellness retreat. Staff noticed I preferred oat milk and offered it several times a day at no charge. Small observations like that showed real care. The river access is lovely, with an elegant way down and a dedicated swimming area that felt safe and immersive. I also want to thank the Pilates instructor from Singapore, whose name I unfortunately didn’t note. In just a few classes, she helped bring flexibility and ease back to muscles that had become tight. Her expertise was exceptional. Dining was another highlight. The food was refined, flavorful and balanced, with traditional dishes and a subtle wellness focus that never felt excessive or rigid. The medical check-up was the part that didn’t meet my expectations. Before booking, I specifically asked about blood tests, extended diagnostics and in-depth screening for a more personalized wellness stay, and was assured these were available. In reality, the consultation was only a short conversation about sleep and eating habits, with no further clinical assessment. That might suit people wanting a lighter wellness touch, but anyone looking for more comprehensive, medically structured care should know this. It’s a beautiful place for a refined break with privacy, nature, movement and attentive service. If you’re after advanced health screening or medical diagnostics, a more clinically focused retreat may be a better fit.

We spent a week at this beautiful, private and peaceful estate. There’s something special about the aura at this Como property, and the stay felt restorative. The massages were the best. During our visit, the rooms seemed a little dated compared with other luxury hotels, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Thank you for the warm hospitality.
