Dewa Put Guest House

The people here are warm, kind, and happy to help. They share their home with birds, cats, a lovely little dog, and koi, so it feels like one big family. The location makes it easy to walk to restaurants, laundry, ATMs, shops, a gym, and more. My room was spacious, with good internet and air conditioning. It was also the first place in Bali where I found really clean towels and bedding without stains. Filtered water is available, along with breakfast if you want it, a shared kitchen, and covered private parking for a scooter. Since it’s downtown in a local area, you may hear roosters, frogs, or dogs now and then.

We stayed for three weeks, and getting to share parts of traditional Balinese life with Dewa and his family was one of our best experiences in Bali. We went to the market, saw his traditional home, and watched his performance at the temple. They helped us with everything we needed and shared lovely moments with us. Thank you, Dewa.

The room was spacious and lovely, with a great view. We spent two weeks at Dewas and came away feeling it was our best experience in Bali. Dewa was thoughtful and attentive, making delicious Western and Balinese breakfasts each morning, telling us about their way of life, and showing us his home temple. On our last day, he and his wife even brought us to a village ceremony. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about Balinese culture and stay in a real Balinese home. Walking was actually quicker than riding our scooter in the traffic, which made it easy to reach Ubud centre from here. We’d definitely return if we were in Ubud. Our room was very large, with a comfy bed and a nice bathroom, hot water, and strong pressure. There was also a table and chair outside and a water dispenser. Mr Dewa Put was so friendly. He showed us his family’s traditional Balinese complex and invited us to a celebration at the village temple. The place is full of koi fish, cats, birds, and a dog. Matur Suksma 🙏
