The location is good if you want to be in the center, though it didn’t feel ideal for families with children. Our sheets were clean, the beds comfortable, and there was a pool. We paid about 110 EUR / night for what was advertised as a two-bedroom villa with a kitchen. In reality, it felt like a building with two separate hotel rooms. The kitchen was one of the main reasons we chose the place so we could prepare food for our 6 months old baby, but it was nearly useless: just 2 forks, 2 spoons, 2 table knives, and 4 plates, with no pot or pan. The fridge and sink were dirty, too. The bathrooms need serious renovation and looked more like public toilets than hotel bathrooms. It was also hard to communicate with the hotel. Messages on booking or WhatsApp could take 3-4 days to get a reply, or never get one. Many staff members barely spoke English, and it took about a day to find someone I could discuss shortening our stay with. For the price, this was nowhere near worth it. It was the worst place we stayed during our 2 months vacation on Bali.

The room had a breathtaking view that made the mornings feel fresh and special, and the property itself was pretty and thoughtfully put together. I enjoyed the huge coconuts they sell at a low price by the pool. The breakfast was very good, especially the egg dishes, and the staff were incredibly cooperative. They went out of their way for requests, and I never heard them say no. They even arranged a surprise birthday cake for me. 20/10 for the hospitality. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Ubud market along a narrow lane. The lane gets dark in the evening, though the area felt somewhat safe, and walking wasn’t easy on the hilly route. Sleep was interrupted by croaking sounds and the AC noise.
