The location is fantastic, just a short walk from some of Ubud’s best food options. Rooms were clean and reasonably well kept, the beds were made every day, and the simple breakfast was delicious. It’s served on your room patio from 8am-10am. I can’t wait to stay again. If you’re traveling with a group and need extra rooms, Astana house is on the same property and can be booked too. You do have to walk through the gates, past the caretakers’ and locals’ houses, to reach the guest house. That can feel a little off-putting at first, until you see the oasis inside. 5 stars all round at Esty House!

We came for two weeks, then kept extending for another week and then one more. It’s a real gem, peaceful but right in the center, with beautiful views and a relaxing feel. The rooms are clean and cozy, breakfast is delicious, and the staff are kind, quick, and always ready to help. Everything is looked after with so much care and attention. The staff were great, and the pool was clean and open. It was an inexpensive stay in central ubud, within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants, so I’d stay again. They also offered an airport transfer for only £20 at midnight.

Breakfast was brought to our room, and the pool was great. The AC worked perfectly too. It’s a lovely, peaceful spot in a great location and makes a good base for Ubud.
