Hidden Padma Retreat

We've been happy enough to come back, and it really does feel like a warm place to stay. The grounds have lush gardens and a nice-sized pool, with a pretty garden café where breakfast is excellent. It's quiet and has no car traffic, though staff can collect you by golf cart. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. One small caveat for rainy season: some towels and rooms can get a bit musty, so I don't want to give a misleading impression.

It's a lovely, peaceful spot with clean rooms set up like hotel rooms, a nice pool area, and great service. Getting there with luggage takes some effort since cars can't reach it and you walk about 400 metres from the road. Once settled, the quiet makes that worthwhile. A moto taxi gets you to central Ubud in around seven minutes, though Intuitive flow yoga, yellow flower cafe, and Alchemy yoga and restaurant are only minutes away, so I barely needed to head into town.

I booked a room with a swimming pool view for three nights but was put on the third floor. It was very humid and still smelled even after they brought a dehumidifier. The shower pressure was poor too. Staff changed the shower head, but it didn't help, and they said water pressure is inadequate on the third level compared with the ground floor. The hotel management didn't really take responsibility for finding solutions. Getting to central Ubud also takes longer than expected, about 15-20 minutes by motorbike. It's hidden, as the name suggests, but I definitely won't return. I won't share photos because they'd make this review worse.

I stayed for a month and loved this beautiful place in a quiet part of Ubud. You can get there by bike and park beside it; cars have to stop outside the alley, then it's a three-minute walk from the car park. There are food options nearby, plus delicious coffee and breakfast right next to the accommodation. The staff were super friendly and welcoming.
