A comfortable stay, with a spacious room, good sleep and a nice environment. You have to walk a little to reach the main street in the palace area, but there are a few restaurants close by and a hidden street behind.

The location is within walking distance of the center, which is nice. But some rooms had very dirty bathrooms, with stains on the tiles. They really need a deep clean or renovation. The rooms on the top floor are better.

The staff were the highlight, always smiling, kind and ready to help. Breakfast was really good too, with three choices to suit anyone, and the beds gave me the best sleep. The pool was clean and lovely. The place is beautiful, close to everything in Ubud but quieter than some others. I don’t understand the bad reviews, honestly. Thank you Juli’s house for an amazing stay. I’d come back anytime.

The location is amazing, with a surreal rice paddy view right out front, and the street is fairly quiet while still close to the markets and center. But the hotel and management need a lot of improvement. The employees are nice and try to help, though they speak very limited English and often don’t understand much. The rooms look older than the photos. Mold covers the bathroom, the smell reaches the whole room, there’s only a few minutes of warm water, and the sink tap is loose. When I raised this, staff just said every room was like that and maybe they’d call someone tomorrow, which never happened. There are leaking ceilings too. You have to ask for daily cleaning and hand over your room key. It can be hard to find anyone at reception because only two people are working, and they’re also responsible for cleaning rooms, making breakfast and working in the garden, leaving the desk unattended.
