After visiting six hotels on our Asia trip, KajaNe Mua was easily our favorite. We even stayed at a five-star place afterward, and it felt second-rate by comparison. The staff, meals, room service, lunch, and dinner were all outstanding, and the service reminded me of how hotels used to be 20 years ago. Our massages, facials, and pedicures were better than the ones we get in the US. A suite with a pool is absolutely worth the price. I’ve never wanted to return somewhere just because of the hotel, but I do now. We could happily have spent our whole time in Ubud there.

The staff were so warm, and getting around in the buggy was easy and fun. Breakfast had loads of choice, the rooms were spacious, and I liked relaxing on the balcony couch. I rarely leave reviews, but I really enjoyed staying here. The place is a little traditional, and our wardrobe doors stuck. There were quite a few flies outside our room, probably because of all the trees, though they didn't get inside or spoil the stay. It would still be good if something could be done about them. Staff also put out mosquito coils every evening, which was a nice touch.

The building is quite old, so there are wide gaps around the doors and bugs can get in. The bathroom is outside, which may feel inconvenient at night, though perhaps some people would like that. Even so, the service was excellent and breakfast was decent. I normally choose large chains, but booked through the official website because it’s so close to Ubud. The unlimited shuttle around Ubud was a big plus. You can message on WhatsApp and it can get to you very quickly, wherever you are. I’d suggest a pool villa since the price difference isn’t very large.

We had a lovely view from the patio, and the staff were so friendly. The hotel also runs a free shuttle into downtown Ubud. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. I’d stay here again next time I visit Ubud.

Such a beautiful place, with smiling faces to welcome you every day. There are free shuttles to take you anywhere you want around town. Breakfast is served from 7 to 11am, and afternoon tea from 3 to 7pm. Come enjoy it for yourselves! 👍
