For the price, this was an okay family stay at Villa Palm Kuning P.U.V. The location suited us, close enough to Ubud but away from its busiest parts. Breakfast came with the stay, though the portions weren't quite enough for our family, and the single beds were some of the hardest we've ever slept on. We also had concerns about the pool not feeling fully clean and suspected a rat had been near or inside the villa, which had to be dealt with through the cleaning team. There was quite a bit of noise, and at times an unpleasant smoke smell. The location and price were fair, but cleanliness and comfort need improvement. It was acceptable, though I wouldn't strongly recommend it without mentioning those problems.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and there was plenty to do indoors with books and DVDs for a rainy or hot day. The whole villa was kept in excellent, clean condition. Our kitchen felt just like home, with everything from a toaster and blender to a water dispenser, plus a washing machine and pool for us to use. The fridge was stocked with fruit, eggs, bread, and other condiments. I highly recommend it.

A great spot, clean and convenient, and getting a Grab was easy. One issue: arriving late in the evening from the airport, we struggled to find the villa. The taxi left us on the road, and the walkway really needs some signs.
