Large glass doors open onto a roomy balcony overlooking tropical palms and lush greenery. Inside, the room was clean and spacious, and the air conditioning worked great. There’s no TV or fridge. I was given a couple of bottles of water on the first night, but needed to bring my own after that. The modern rooms sit together in a separate block on a family compound. It’s right in the middle of Ubud, with great food all around, and makes a good place to stay.

The neighbors currently smoke outside a lot, and sometimes the smoke reaches my room. That spoils the balcony air, though it’s not really the property’s fault. The people here are nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and air conditioned, with good Wi-Fi. The balcony table is handy for breakfast. You’re in a prime Ubud spot, with an inexpensive massage right outside and some great cheap restaurants nearby, including sun sun warung. Great value.

The garden view from the second floor is lovely, with birds singing. The owners are friendly, the hotel is always clean, and it’s right in central Ubud. I’ve stayed here several times and had a wonderful time each visit.

The hosts are very friendly, and the room gets cleaned daily. It’s quiet and comfortable, with a central location. One thing mentioned in another review is true, the blanket doesn’t have a cover.

Manggeak and her husband took such good care of me during my two weeks at Karta House. A fan kept the room comfortably cool, and the Wi-Fi was pretty good for Ubud. Breakfast can be pancakes or an omelette with fruit, all at a very reasonable price. The location is especially convenient if you practice yoga at RA.
