Kayuni Hostel

For the price, I expected basic bread and jelly, but breakfast was delicious banana pancakes with fresh fruit. It was much better than I expected, and the place deserves a 10. The staff were friendly, and I felt safe and comfortable. The room was simple, with 12 sturdy beds and enough space that it didn’t feel cramped. Each bed had a light, outlet, privacy curtain, and big lockable storage underneath. There was AC too. Everything was very clean, with two lobby sinks, two bathrooms, and one shower. A long balcony had space to sit and eat breakfast. There’s no drinking water for refills, though hot water, coffee, and tea are available. The hot water containers were a bit dirty, with particles floating in the water. Still, this may be one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, and the cheapest. Most of the booking reviews were 10s for a reason.

Really enjoyed my stay. There’s just one mixed dorm, but that was enough for me. The beds were comfortable and had curtains, lights, and lockers. Breakfast with banana pancakes and fruit was included, and coffee and tea were self-serve. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There are two bathrooms with warm showers, and the location is great, with bars nearby and monkey forest within walking distance.

The staff are accommodating, and they’ll bring your breakfast whenever you want. I loved the banana pancake ❤️❤️. It’s an affordable spot close to attractions, bars, and shops. Coffee and tea are unlimited, though you make them yourself, and the hot water thermos was always full. There’s a little balcony for guests to sit on. The shared room was fine, with lights, outlets, and lockable storage under the beds. The shared bathroom setup has two toilets and showers, while the sinks are outside the room. The door is pretty noisy, so I felt bad going in and out in case I woke people up. It also took me a few minutes to find the hostel, haha.

It felt like home, and the staff were super friendly. The balcony’s nice for watching people on the street, and the hostel is close to Ubud palace and restaurants. There are two toilets, free breakfast, tea and coffee, plus a refrigerator guests can use. It was easy to chat with other guests. The long dorm beds have curtains. It can be tricky to find the place since it’s on the second floor.
