Kubu Taman Home Stay

A lovely homestay right in the center, with nice warungs nearby. It can be noisy from all the scooters, but that didn’t bother me since I’m used to it. The bathroom was a bit rundown and moldy, like many places in Bali. The rooms get plenty of natural light, and the family were so welcoming. They even brought me tea and a snack when I arrived. The balcony has a really cool view, and the homestay is tucked into a quiet neighborhood away from the main road. Shops, scooter rentals, laundry, and travel agencies are all within walking distance. You can get to other places by scooter, and there’s somewhere to park one outside the home. The owner greeted me each morning with a simple, healthy breakfast: rice, chicken, egg, and papaya smoothie. They also shared local suggestions and were helpful and quick to respond whenever I needed anything. I had a great time at Kubu Taman Homestay.

The hosts were lovely and very accommodating, and the free breakfast was good. The room is spacious, with a big bathroom and good water pressure despite being on the third floor. It’s central enough to walk to restaurants, bars, shops, and massage parlors. I also enjoyed sitting and watching the garden and fishpond.

My wife and I spent three weeks at Kubu Taman and loved it. The family made us feel so welcome and were incredibly hospitable. The bed was big and comfortable, the AC worked great in the heat, and breakfast was delicious every morning.
