The owners were so warm and friendly, always asking about our day and sharing ideas for places to go. It felt like a lovely family-run hostel. Our room was clean and made up every day. Breakfast was included, with a pancake, fresh fruit, and free tea or coffee. The pool was clean, with bean bags to lounge on, and there was a nice social area with a ping pong table and an upstairs space. On our last day, a friend was sick, and the woman was incredibly kind and helpful. She checked on her, asked if she needed a doctor, and let us stay longer. Such a lovely experience, I’d stay again. If you want a more local hostel, this is 10/10.

The communal spaces and pool at Lagas Hostel are lovely, with a calm but social feel. The team were extremely helpful, and I rented a good bike from them for a few days at a reasonable price. The dorm rooms were fine. It’s a little south of central Ubud, about a 15-minute bike ride away. That means there’s much less traffic nearby, which is a plus. I had a really nice stay and would definitely recommend it.

My favorite hostel in Bali! The family who run it are so sweet and helpful, and their son even drove me to the airport. I loved the place and would definitely come back in the future.

The family were so friendly and looked after us well. They helped arrange trips, including a day tour, silverclass, and an ATV tour, as well as transport. They also served a charming little breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. It’s a lovely, peaceful hostel, not far from Ubud centre, about a short Grab ride or a 15-minute walk. There are lots of restaurants and cafes within walking distance too. The rooms were nice, with good beds. The bathroom was a little old but worked just fine. We loved it here!
