I rented a private room for four nights at 150 k rp. The garden is nice, but it’s a 25-30 minute walk from the center. There’s a shared area with tea, coffee, hot water, and bottled water, but it has no window between it and the sleeping area. If you want to sleep well in the dormitory, you have to hope the other guests are quiet. They weren’t during my stay, and people in the dorm complained. The family starts their day around 7 AM, so sleeping later isn’t really an option. I had to ask for a towel and soap, as the owner doesn’t provide them by default. The rooms, including the six-person dorm, have no AC. The room and mattress were okay if you don’t mind a few ant colonies. I’m not sure whether the owner changes the sheets between guests. I extended twice because of card issues and never saw the sheets changed. The bathroom had hot water, but was very dirty, and the sink was broken. There were more ants and spiders eating them in there, so I guess the ecosystem is balanced. The owner would come into my room without asking or telling me first to sweep the floor, though he never went as far as the bathroom. He also asked if he could put my bag of medicine in the dustbin, which felt a bit intrusive. You can rent a good scooter at a good price from a friend, family member, or neighbor of the owner, depending on which version you hear. It comes with a contract and helmet. The rental arrangement felt a bit dishonest. I tried to extend the scooter for half a day, but the owner said it wasn’t possible. On my last day, I returned it at 1 PM instead of 4:30 PM, and he rented it to another guest for the next three and a half hours at half the price, without a contract, while mine was still running. When I asked why he’d said no to extending it and to my using it for the rest of the contract, he said, "you returned the key, It's my business, I do what I want." He wasn’t smiling anymore.

The owner and family are really kind and friendly. In the room, the toilet and bathroom are separated only by a curtain. The sheets are never washed, apparently the owner uses the same ones for everyone.

The family running this place is wonderful and kind, and helps with everything, including bike rentals, tours, and taxis. There’s always free drinking water, hot water, tea, and a shared fridge. For the price, you get a lot, and it was the cheapest I found in the area. Booking directly with the owner may get you a rate as low as 70,000 per night, but it’s more likely to be 75,000, depending on the season. It’s a bit out from the city center, about a 25-minute walk or 8 minutes by bike, though parking isn’t the easiest. Some things aren’t super clean, but it’s decent overall. The beds aren’t very comfortable. A couple of nights is fine, but after four nights my back started hurting. If you’re renting a bike and don’t need a brand-new, five-star clean place to sleep, this is a great deal. Absolutely recommend.

The owners are nice, and the bathrooms are quite clean. You can use the kitchen, and there’s free drinking water, hot water, coffee, and tea. Watch what you hang on the shower hooks, though. The showerhead points right at them, so whatever’s there gets soaked. The heat in the end top bunks is rough. I switched to a middle bottom bed for my last two nights, and it made a big difference. The mattresses on both beds I tried sagged in the middle, so I sank into a dip and things rolled toward it. You can’t sit up straight in a top bunk, and the fans didn’t seem to reach the bottom beds on either side. On my last day, someone in an end bed moved the fan from the common area right in front of his bed. I think the middle bunks are the only ones with enough airflow. A mix-up with the host also made me cancel a tour. I thought I’d booked with a guide, but it was only a driver. I specifically asked whether a guide was included and was told yes. I’m concerned about the sheets. They don’t change them between guests, which brings a risk of infections and bedbugs going unnoticed. They just broom the top of the sheets, so how would they spot bugs in the mattress without looking underneath? I sometimes drool as I’m falling asleep, leaving small marks that wash out. People with foot infections may sleep barefoot, and some fungi can live on bedding for weeks, so be mindful of the risk. Not changing sheets between guests seems common at other hostels in the area too, unfortunately. More fans in the room, ideally one at every bed, would improve the place. Changing the sheets between guests would make it more hygienic too.

This is a family run place, and the people looking after it are lovely. My single room with a double bed was spacious and had a fan. The humidity is the only thing I’d mention, though of course that isn’t their fault.
