Mahayoga Ubud Private Pool Villa Spa And Resto

The rooms, pool, and staff were all very good, and I think it’s a good hotel for couples. Breakfast wasn’t great, since there was no buffet and only one dish to pick from a limited à la carte menu. It’s about 1.5 km from central Ubud, so it feels pretty isolated. You’ll need a bike or taxi to get into town for food and other things.

The location is quiet and about an easy 20-minute walk from town. The rooms are nice, but maintenance really needs attention: the pool wasn’t cleaned during my stay, the garden was unkempt, the shower head was terrible, and even drinking glasses weren’t available when I asked reception. The air conditioning was poor too. Breakfast was included, but the set menu had very few options, small portions, and food that wasn’t tasty, so I’d eat elsewhere. The coffee was very good, and the standout was a friendly, helpful restaurant staff member. Mahayoga Ubud could be lovely with better upkeep and food, but for the price I expected much more.

They were really accommodating at Mahayoga. We needed an early check-in, which was no problem, and had to leave early for Lombok, also no problem. They even gave us a takeaway breakfast. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the pool clean with no mould. We had an amazing stay, highly recommend!

The semi-open kitchen, living room, and bathroom were a pleasure to use morning and night. The bedroom was clean and air conditioned, though an ant or two sometimes found its way in. The location is a little away from the busy main street, which makes it peaceful, but you may want transport. Reception can arrange scooter rental and delivery to the villa, or Grab and Gojek are also okay. Food was standard and the coffee decent. The spa treatment wasn’t the best, but the quality was good. If insects aren’t your thing, you might want to skip this place.
