Omah Apik

The place has a lovely village feel, from the stepping stone footpath to the ample parking. The pool feels cool and edgeless against the breathtaking rice field view. At sunset, just take in the view and relax. My room was comfortable, with a rustic, traditional style in the bathroom, and the lobby and other public areas had that feel too. The wind and bird sounds were lovely. Sometimes there’s a musical or art event here, so it can get a little busy then, but it’s worth enjoying.

I loved staying here. The staff were super duper friendly, the food was tasty, and the rooms have a beautiful design. Right by the rice fields, it’s a lovely spot to watch the sunset. They also offer a shuttle to Ubud market, which takes about 15 minutes. I can highly recommend this place.

The large pool was glorious to swim in, spilling out toward some of the best rice field views I’ve seen in Ubud. I stayed in the large deluxe suite, which looked out over the trees and pool. The resort has a lovely, peaceful feel, and I really enjoyed my stay. On arrival, a friendly guineafowl greeted me and followed us to our room. A couple of friendly chickens were wandering freely around the place the next morning. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh wholemeal toast, real New Zealand butter, and homemade jam. There are lovely wooden writing desks in all the rooms too, useful if you’ve got work to do.

We’ll definitely return to Omah Apik. It’s the kind of tranquil place where you feel sad to leave and go back to reality. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and ethnic, just perfect, and they served organic food with amazing hospitality. It’s not far from Ubud city center, and the staff were very helpful whenever we needed something to feel comfortable. A great place to recharge, surrounded by positivity. 😊
