I've stayed in this old house for a year, and things kept breaking, including doors, the toilet, and the shower. The owner, an older woman, didn't seem to care about the rentals. Once, rainwater came into the house and flooded the room. I stepped into hot water, and luckily there was no electricity running through me, though the adapters in the room were sitting in the water. The owner said he'd fixed the problem and that it wouldn't happen again. We believed him and stayed on, but it flooded again the following week. My wife, our infant, and I left. The owner wouldn't reimburse us for the damaged belongings and electronics.

Three large, very aggressive dogs on the property attacked me when I arrived. There was no staff around, and after several attempts to reach the hotel, I had to leave and find somewhere else. Keeping dogs there without warning guests is unacceptable.

We booked through booking.com, arrived, and found nobody there. The building seemed abandoned. A tiny sign on the hotel door, not at the main entrance, said the place was under renovation. Why were they still accepting bookings on booking.com?

A good-value family home in a handy spot just outside Ubud, close enough to walk into the centre. It felt safe for a woman travelling alone as well as for families. There's a pool, fast internet, and they can arrange taxis to and from the airport.

This villa is a nice place to stay in Ubud, especially with family. The rooms are large, there's a swimming pool, and the owner and staff are very friendly. They offer activities like full-day and half-day tours, trekking, cooking classes, rafting, and scooter rentals.
