Padi-Padi Hostel & Bar

There are plenty of shops and restaurants close by, and the staff were super nice. The free breakfast was good too. The bathrooms could use an update, but this is a great value hostel in Ubud.

I booked one night, then kept extending day by day until I’d stayed a full week. The location made it easy to walk around central Ubud, and there are both cheap local warung and fancier places nearby. The room was big enough and stayed really cool all day. The bathroom could use some work, but it was okay for the price, 90k. My roommate took one of their tours and thought it seemed very good. The Perama transport shuttle bus is very close, which makes getting around Bali easy.

The facilities are nice and the location is good. The rooms were pleasant, and most of the staff were lovely and helpful. But one staff member made us feel extremely uncomfortable. While everyone was asleep, he kept coming into our dorm during the night without any concern for our privacy. I’d happily stay again if he weren’t there and hadn’t made us feel that way.

I spent five nights here and really enjoyed it. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the place felt like home. I also got to meet lots of other hostel guests. The free breakfast every day was a lovely bonus, and tasty too!
