The staff were very friendly and tried hard to help. I liked the wooden room, especially its privacy, large windows, and view over the rice terraces. It’s a very old place, though, and things are run down. My sheets had old blood stains. They changed them when I asked, but the replacements were only less stained. The outdoor bathroom was cool, but not very convenient since you can’t leave soap or toilet paper there because of the monkeys. I worried one might show up while I was using it, but thankfully I didn’t see any. The breakfast seemed to use very low-quality oils and margarine, and I was throwing up for half the night after eating it. If you want a very spacious private room with a pretty view and can put up with the other issues, it’s not bad. Maybe just don’t eat there :)

The place is easy to get around on foot, and I liked the second-floor view. It’s beautifully landscaped and set back from the road, so traffic noise doesn’t carry to the rooms. I booked four nights because it’s across the street from the monkey forest. I didn’t see any monkeys, but I’d book again. The pool was nice, though a little cloudy, which I put down to the daily rain. The full bathtub was nice, but the faucet didn’t work. Water only came through the shower hose, and with no curtain, the strong pressure sent it everywhere. The towels were nice, including the pool towel, and the pillows were good, though I wish there were more. I really appreciated the unlimited filtered water. It was easy to stay hydrated. They offer daily room cleaning, and there were two trash cans, one in the room and one in the bathroom. Recommend.

A week here was so relaxing. It’s a chill little oasis with a huge room, great price, and perfect location. The staff were wonderful, and it’s been the highlight of Bali so far. We had a rice field view, and one day a few monkeys appeared. We only saw them once, but they were so cute and we wished we’d seen more! 😆 The communal kitchen was really convenient, especially the filtered water tap. They also offered fruit from a bowl in the kitchen, where I tried snake fruit for the first time. Absolutely recommend.

The villa is clean and nice, with a garden I loved and a great pool. The location is good, too. Noise is the main downside: you can hear people in other rooms quite easily, and upstairs it’s especially noticeable, probably because the third floor is wooden. Still, it’s a nice place overall, lol.

The kids were thrilled, and watching the monkeys nearby was fun. We were a family of 10 and stayed three nights, though we all wished we'd booked longer. The rooms felt a little dated, but it didn't bother us. The place has a lovely Balinese feel.
