Pertiwi Resort & Spa Ubud

The grounds were so peaceful and quiet that you'd never guess the hotel was right in the middle of everything. There was plenty to eat, see, and do right nearby. The location was perfect, and the staff were incredibly kind. Whenever you passed an employee, they'd greet you warmly. That's true Balinese hospitality.

We'd happily recommend Pertiwi to anyone visiting Ubud. The resort is quiet, well cared for, well placed for getting around, and the rooms were comfortable. What stood out most was the team. Indah and Reni arranged private drivers for our Mount Batur and East Bali trips without any hassle, and we really appreciated the effort. Putu at the restaurant was friendly and attentive, always smiling, and made every meal enjoyable. Thanks to everyone at Pertiwi.

My son and I loved our time in a one-bedroom pool villa at Pertiwi Resort. The grounds were well kept, and although the hotel itself is quite large, it's very quiet, tucked between two streets right in central Ubud. Monkey Forest, Ubud art markets, and popular restaurants are all within walking distance. Bali is affordable, and that context matters, but the staff were lovely and very helpful. Terima kasih!

The resort grounds are lovely and the staff were friendly and apologetic when we raised concerns, but I had several hygiene and service issues to mention. The first night, we found mould on the pillows. Reception quickly sent housekeeping to replace them with new ones. Then, after inspecting the bed further, we noticed what looked like blood stains on my friend's bedding. We showed reception a video, and housekeeping promptly changed the bedding and apologized. I appreciated the quick response, but it was concerning that the room hadn't been checked properly before we arrived. The shower temperature kept swinging between cold and extremely hot. It got so hot once that I burned my hand and struggled to turn it off, which felt dangerous. At about 8:30am on our first morning, housekeeping knocked loudly to clean, abruptly waking us while many guests may still be sleeping. The “Do Not Disturb / Clean My Room” sign also kept falling off the door, making it hard to use from inside. I booked one of the cheaper rooms and expected basic accommodation, but still expect decent hygiene and consideration for guests. I hope management addresses the room checks and shower temperature so future stays are safer and more comfortable.
