Pondok Putri Sari

Sadly, we can't recommend this bungalow. The location is good, away from Ubud's stress and near some very good Warongs, but the place was very dirty. The pool was dirty and never cleaned, and the sunbeds seemed alive and were biting us. Water ran out of the toilet, whose seat was nearly broken. The bedsheets had stains that looked like bodily fluids. We asked for a change, but the replacements had the same problem. I don't understand how people can call this bungalow clean.

Maddy, the owner, is kind and very helpful. The room was a good size with a huge bed, and the pool was just the right size. Breakfast was included each day, a nice treat. It's only a few minutes by scooter to the city centre, but far enough away to stay quiet. I'd come back.

The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were huge, clean, and well kept. It's close to lots of restaurants and Ubud's main streets, but far enough away to stay quiet and relaxing. I'd recommend it!

I really enjoyed my 4 nights here. The villa is beautiful, clean, quiet, and relaxing, with a blissful pool, and it's great value for money. Watching the peaceful Balinese offering ceremonies in the morning was lovely. Wayan is such a nice lad and always ready to help. The villa is off a lane, but once you know your way around it's no problem. Only bikes can come down it, so you'll be dropped at the end and have a 100 metre walk to the villa. For the main street, turn left onto the lane and follow the road down. Memes warung is along there, a great place to eat and hang out. Nus spa is lovely too, turn left onto the main street and it's 2 shoos down.
