Prema Ubud Villas

The people working there were nice, but I didn’t like the place at all. It was dirty, including the pool, which I avoided completely because I didn’t want to get sick. There was mud and dirt around the lounge too. The windows were badly fitted, with a gap of about 2 cm between the frames and the wall, letting bugs, lizards, and butterflies in. After one night we left for a resort to relax. We’d booked four nights but only came back to sleep there for two. It’s also far from everywhere.

I’ve been back three times between 2023 and 2025, and this villa still feels just right. It’s spacious and has enough lovely touches to feel romantic and cozy, even without all the lavish gear at other places. About 800 m to 1 km away, at an intersection, there’s a 10/10 sate babi stall that isn’t on the maps. If you’ve survived Bali belly, give it a try. Pick up some pickles at Cocomart or Pepito to go with it, and enjoy your little summer feast.

We chose this place for four nights to get away from central Ubud, but loud construction was obvious as soon as we arrived. I’m sensitive to noise, so it wasn’t going to work for us. Fortunately, they moved us to their sister property, Lavanya Ubud villas, two streets away. If there’s a chance of construction noise, it should be mentioned on the Booking.com page so guests know beforehand 🙏🏽

The floating breakfast in our private pool was the highlight of our stay, and the staff were so courteous and attentive to our comfort. We had four wonderful days in Ubud at this small, romantic property, with just 8-10 villas. Ours had a private pool, kitchen, living room, and huge bedroom, and everything, including the pool, was well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped for making small meals, and there’s a nearby bike rental that made it easy to get to the market and restaurants. Highly recommend!
