The location is on a busy road, about 2 km from Ubud Market, though Sacred Monkey Forest is walkable at roughly 700 m. The hotel shuttle to and from the market was really useful. They also serve complimentary afternoon tea and snacks daily from 3 to 6 pm, so don't miss those if you're around. We stayed three nights in room 203 on the first floor. It was spacious, clean, and cleaned daily. The bathroom was roomy, with a separate shower and bathtub, plus a separate toilet. Everything was well maintained. The room had the basics we needed, including a tea and coffee maker, curtained bed, work desk, TV, and wardrobe. From the balcony we could see the pool and nearby forest. The pool looked lovely, with trees on one side and rooms on the other. Since it's a boutique hotel, it felt almost like having a private pool, and we used it every day with hardly anyone else there. Staff were consistently polite and courteous, always smiling. We also liked the restaurant and the breakfast included in our package. There were plenty of dishes and drinks to choose from. The hospitality was amazing throughout our stay at Sapodilla Ubud.

The staff were really friendly, and the service was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic too. The hotel isn't in the city center, but they run a free shuttle from 7 AM to 10 PM. Just let the front desk know 10 minutes ahead.

I was lucky to make this my first place to stay in Bali. I felt so welcomed and could feel the warmth of the Balinese people. It was my birthday during the visit, and although I hadn't mentioned it, the staff sweetly celebrated with me. This lovely Balinese-style hotel is near central Ubud and feels like a hidden gem. They offer a shuttle if you need one, and there are several breakfast choices served either in your room or at the restaurant. Having breakfast in the privacy of my room was such a leisurely treat. When I return to Ubud, I'll stay here again, and for longer.

The quiet, clean feel of Sapodilla made it easy to relax, and it was still convenient for getting around the area. Breakfast had lots to choose from, and I especially enjoyed the Japanese dishes. Everyone was warm and smiling from the moment I arrived, so I felt really looked after. I was genuinely sad to leave and hope to return. Thank you!

I wouldn't stay here again. The room looked much better in the photos, and for what they charge, the service was awful. While I was out for about 1-2 hours, staff went into the room without permission and did something to the balcony. They lost the balcony key, so I couldn't use it. The hot water never worked, and staff kept making excuses instead of fixing it. The bathtub took 1.5 hours to fill, and the water was only cold. The food was poor too. A complete waste of money.
