The rating and price don’t match the quality. It was overpriced and unclean, with a damp smell on the bedroom sheets, as if they hadn’t been changed recently. The bathroom smelled of drains and urine, and needs a proper clean or, ideally, a renovation because it’s very old. The fridge also made a dripping noise at night. The spot is fairly quiet and green, but getting there means using a hectic, narrow path beside a flowing stream. You need to be very confident on a scooter. There are much better homestays and options in Ubud for less.

From the accommodation, you can walk to rice fields with plenty of nice cafes and restaurants in a beautiful, serene setting. My room was simple but comfortable, facing a little river and lush trees in a very calm spot away from busy streets. There’s a huge meditation and yoga space, and practicing with the jungle view was amazing. The staff were kind and helpful, and agreed at short notice to let me check out early.

**Update, May 24:** I’m really sad to lower the room rating. I’ve just returned after staying here last year, and this time I’m in a smaller room. The four premium rooms are great, but the others have mould, a strong bad smell, and black walls. I still adore the location and the lush, beautiful setting. The staff are amazing and go out of their way to help. **Original post, November 2024:** I loved my stay. They gave me such a warm welcome and looked after me as a solo traveler. The rooms were beautiful, and I felt at home. There’s a communal outdoor lounge with free water, coffee, and tea. Downstairs is a great open space for yoga in the morning with visiting teacher Made, or for practicing on your own at other times. It’s central but quiet and peaceful. You can only reach it on foot or by bike, along a long path beside a stream. There’s no car access, which makes it a little gem. ❤️❤️❤️

Isabel, the yoga teacher, is wonderful and full of positive energy. I tried Kundalini Yoga for the first time with her, and it was an amazing experience. The place itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet still close to Ubud’s center. Such a nice place to stay. Thank you so much🧡

A cozy place to stay, with everything nearby, and it’s really peaceful and quiet. The chef, Ketut, is so friendly, and the food is amazing. The fried rice and omelette were great, but dinner was especially worth it, with enough for two people. You could skip lunch and have that instead. We had a nice stay!
