The staff were warm, kind, and always ready to help with a smile, which made our two nights at The Alena Resort feel special. We stayed in the Luxury One Bedroom Private Pool Villa, a spacious, beautifully designed mix of modern comfort and Balinese charm. The private pool was peaceful, private, and surrounded by greenery. We enjoyed all our meals at the resort restaurant. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented, with consistently excellent service. The floating breakfast in our pool was delicious, had plenty of choice, and looked lovely. We also had a relaxing, professionally done one-hour Balinese massage at the spa, then used the jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. It made for a wonderfully restorative break. For a romantic, quiet escape in Ubud with privacy, comfort, and top-notch service, we'd happily return to The Alena Resort.

The resort's small, intimate feel is a big part of its charm. It never felt like a hotel, and the beautiful decor and lush gardens gave the whole place a peaceful atmosphere. We enjoyed the delicious restaurant food, the amazing spa, and the yoga class too. My mum and I stayed for 5 nights and felt looked after from the first welcome to the moment we left. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always smiling and happy to see us. They remembered the little details, greeted us by name, and noticed what we needed. The team who cared for our room morning and evening were especially sweet. I won't spoil the personal touches, but we were surprised by how thoughtful the care was. We can't wait to come back. Thank you so much to Dewa and the whole team, you made this trip unforgettable. 10/10.

Breakfast was the highlight, fresh and delicious with lots of options. The Alena Resort was clean, tidy, and beautifully maintained, and everyone on staff was friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Listya for her kindness and wonderful hospitality. Highly recommended!

What made our stay at Alena Resort special was the staff. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and attentive, and Gusti deserves a special mention as our driver and guide. He was cheerful and genuine, shared lots of interesting stories about Bali, and had a great sense of humor. We loved spending time with him and recommend asking for Gusti for airport transport or a guided tour around Bali. The rooms and resort are beautiful and luxurious. It feels like you're in the jungle while still having everything you need to relax in comfort, a great balance of nature and luxury. We'd love to return one day.

The resort may be on the smaller side, but it has what you need and offers a lot of free activities, including a rice field trek, yoga sessions, massage class, and more. It’s reasonably priced, everything is clean and well maintained, and the staff are very friendly, speak great English, and provide top-notch service. Highly recommend!
