Stone House

I’m so glad I got to stay in the Treehouse. The bamboo craftsmanship completely blew me away. Stone House has six villas, each with its own character, and the care behind every detail is visible throughout this beautiful place. The staff feel like a close-knit family, and I felt well looked after. It’s hard to believe somewhere this magical is tucked away only about an eight minute drive from the town square. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Bali.

The meals were a real highlight, fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. We enjoyed breakfast by the pool and a private dinner, and each dish felt special. The team were warm and attentive from the moment we arrived, and everyone helped make our stay relaxing and memorable. The property has lush gardens, lovely architecture, and a peaceful, sanctuary-like feel. Our room was comfortable and carefully designed, with small touches that showed the care put into the space. We couldn’t have picked a better place to unwind in Ubud. Highly recommend it for elegance, peace, and heartfelt hospitality. We’ll be back!

The breakfasts were hard to leave behind, especially the fresh bread, banana pancakes, and spicy tofu. The chefs made them really filling, too. Iluh, Ayu, and Erna were always ready to help, whether we needed a driver or a last-minute dinner, and the team handled all our room changes quickly and patiently. We booked a different room for each night because they all looked so distinctive. The wooden interiors and traditional mementos gave each one a warm feel. Treehouse and Longhouse were our favorites, though we enjoyed them all. We did sometimes find insects, mostly in the open bathrooms, but they seemed harmless and didn't bother us. Falling asleep to geckos and crickets was part of the charm. We left with a lasting impression and would love to return. The robes we bought are a lovely reminder of our stay.

Stone House felt like a home away from home for our honeymoon. We loved the welcoming, family feel and all the thoughtful extras, including fruit available throughout the day and good-night cookies. The common spaces were beautiful and peaceful, the rooms each had their own lovely character, and the service was full of care and attention to detail. We had an incredible stay and would definitely come back to Bali.
