I felt I had to leave a review even though I don't like writing bad ones. I couldn't sleep there, and I didn't feel safe because the door lock was dodgy and the in-room safe didn't work. The bathroom was dirty, with mosquitoes everywhere, a filthy mirror, and poor shower pressure. It didn't feel clean enough to use. The fridge was old, dirty, and broken. The bed had smelly pillows and an old quilt.

The rooster very close to our room started crowing at 5 a.m., which made it hard to sleep. The bathroom was also really old and a bit disgusting, and neither the shower nor sink drained properly. On the plus side, the staff were nice and helpful, and breakfast was included and good. We had several choices each day, including a fruit platter with watermelon, pineapple, and papaya. The owner can rent you a scooter for 100k. It's about a 10-minute trip to the center.

The people running this place were lovely. We hired one of them to drive us for a day, and she gave us great recommendations and planned a wonderful day visiting the sights. We also really enjoyed having a delicious breakfast delivered to our door and eating it on the balcony overlooking the gardens. Lovely place and great value for the price.

The location is great, and the owner/manager is lovely. My room was huge, and having a kitchenette was handy. But it wasn't especially clean, and the door and windows wouldn't close all the way. The internet was so bad I couldn't even use it to post this review. Also, the price I “negotiated” without breakfast came to the same as the online price that included breakfast.

Everything was fine, and the room was really spacious. It's a good place to stay in Ubud, about a five-minute walk from Main Street.
