You’re right in the middle of Ubud, but the traffic and city noise disappear once you’re inside. The garden temple adds a lovely, peaceful Balinese feel. The family is kind and welcoming, and they’re always happy to help. Breakfast is made fresh each day, with generous portions, and it’s delicious. I’d absolutely come back and recommend this homestay to anyone wanting a calm, welcoming place in Ubud.

The facilities are basic, and the family’s English is basic too, but all was good. They sorted out a chilled scooter rental and helped book taxis. The hosts are really friendly, and the family let us see a bit of traditional Ubud life, including their family temple. The location and breakfast are great, and it was only 200k a night per room. It felt like home.

We stayed here for a long time, then came back again. The setting inside is beautifully decorated in a traditional Balinese style, and the family are very hospitable. It’s just off the main street, with cafés, restaurants and shops nearby, and Ubud’s main attractions are within walking distance. We were here in February - March, 2023.

The old architecture makes the homestay really beautiful. At first the people were so nice, but later they directly refused to give us an adapter. They also made a lot of negative comments about India and Indian people, which we really didn’t like. We stayed because it was a good place, we only had two days left, and we’d already paid. They charged us more than the amount shown on the website, too.
