Surawan Bisma Ubud

It’s tucked away from the busy main streets but still a short walk from everything you might need. A scooter ride to the farther attractions costs very little. Great spot for a bit of calm.

Our room opened onto a balcony or terrace just outside the gate, right in the greenery, with rice fields beyond the fence. The location is lovely, close to central Ubud but away from the busy streets. Instead of motorbike noise, we heard crickets and had quiet all around us. There’s nothing fancy about the simple rooms, but they were clean, the air conditioning worked, and the plumbing was spotless, which is a real plus in Bali. Thanks to all the staff for taking such good care of us. I hope we can come back someday. Anastasiia and Denis🙌🏽

We had booked four nights but left after just one because we simply couldn’t sleep. The pool and facilities didn’t feel clean or comfortable, and the bathroom had a terrible urine-like smell. The walls were so thin we could hear everything coming from the breakfast area in the morning. Getting to the hotel meant walking the last stretch after our driver dropped us off, which was awkward with luggage. The staff were kind, and the location near Ubud center was a plus, but the stay was uncomfortable and we were very disappointed. It definitely wasn’t worth staying longer.

The central location was fine, but going a little farther out is easy with Grab and only takes minutes, so that didn’t make up for the stay. The room was very dirty. The bathroom smelled moldy, and the stones on the walls and floor kept water from draining away. They didn’t clean the room, and we had to ask for fresh towels. There were dirty glasses and not even a bag in the bathroom bin. We skipped breakfast because the room’s hygiene didn’t give us confidence in the kitchen either. The price was low, but the savings weren’t worth it.
