A comfortable, spacious room and a central spot make this a great budget homestay in Ubud. It’s a 10-minute walk from the Yoga Barn and under five minutes from Radiantly Alive. The family who runs it is caring and super lovely.

Wayan and everyone at Svaka are so kind, humble, and wonderful. They take great care of guests and thoughtfully provide a lovely breakfast. The room and bathroom were just right, simple and super clean, with air conditioning! Definitely stay here if you’re in Ubud. I’ll be back. x Emma

The room, number three, was spacious and had a good hot-water shower. It’s a quiet, homey place right in the heart of Ubud. Staying at Svaka felt like being back in my hometown, thanks to the warm, humble Pak Wayan, Bu Nengah, and Gek Suzan. I recommend it and would be happy to return when I’m in Ubud.

I first spent a month here when I returned to Bali in 2016, and I’ve stayed again since. I still love the place, partly because of the great memories with friends who also stayed for months, and partly because the owners are such a nice, friendly family. It’s peaceful, and the many plants in front of the guesthouse make the weather feel nice. I love it here!

The family is lovely, and it’s a quiet location very close to the center. The room gets a little damp in rainy season, but otherwise everything is great. Already missing my daily breakfast.
